OUR STORY
In June 2011, a group of believers from all around the mid-Michigan area began a bible study.
By October 2011, a board of directors was assembled, Articles of Incorporation were submitted, and the transition from Bible study to Believers Christian Church was complete. The following month the former Eagle United Methodist Church was purchased and services for Believers Christian Church began on January 6, 2012.
In 2017 we purchased and remodeled an administrative building that houses a food pantry and offices and a multi-purpose room.
When we grew to four services in our Eagle church, we purchased an industrial building in 2018 and began reconstruction of the building in 2020 during the pandemic.
In September of that year we dedicated our newly remodeled facility, and began meeting in the building. We are holding three church services and are looking for ways to expand.

OUR PASTOR
Pastor Phil McKinney

In 2011, what began as a small Bible study blossomed into Believers Christian Church, a thriving community of faith. At the heart of it all is Pastor Phil—a passionate communicator who loves Jesus and is dedicated to teaching others about Him.
With over 20 years in ministry, Pastor Phil has worn many hats—author, conference speaker, leadership coach, and entrepreneur. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from the American Evangelical Bible College and Seminary and has a deep passion for equipping both church leaders and marketplace professionals with wisdom and insight.
Beyond ministry, his greatest joy is his family. He's married to his childhood sweetheart, Becky, and together they've raised four incredible adult children and now adore their growing crew of grandkids-two granddaughters and one grandson.
Whether he's speaking from the pulpit, coaching leaders, or engaging in entrepreneurial ventures, Pastor Phil's mission remains the same: to inspire, empower, and lead with faith and authenticity.
